Board of Director Elections
We are accepting nominations for Board of Director positions until September 10, 2010. Election ballots will be delivered to the clinical membership either by email or regular mail in October for voting. Voting will end at 3 pm on Friday October 29, 2010. Persons elected will be notified in November.There are several Board positions open for election:
- Three 'at-large' board positions. Officers will be AAMFT Clinical Members in good standing and will serve a three-year-term- beginining in January 2011.
- Secretary: "The secretary shall serve a a term of two (2) years. The secretary shall keep the records of all business meetins of the Division and all meetings of the Board, shall direct the distribution of the minutes and reports as authorized by these bylaws and by the Board, and shall be responsible for all official correspondence of the Division." ( WAMFT bylaw 4.05)
All members exercise all powers of the Division except as specificially prohibited by the WAMFT and AAMFT by-laws. Board members are expected to attend six (6) schedueld board meetings per year, participate in committee work as appointed by the president, attend the winter and summer Board Retreats and the annual Fall Ethics and Spring Conferences.The vitality of WAMFT depends on the dedication of its members to serve in leadership capacities. Serving on the WAMFT board is an honor and valuable experience as well as a great opportunity to give back to the profession. Please consider how your skills and gifts might benefit WAMFT.
